Two questions you will get about the end times, while others think of them as the same question, they are not the same events.
1. Are we living in the last days?
2. Are we living in the end times? (End of Everything)
The answer to question number 1 is yes, we are living in the last days.
The answer to question number 2 is no, we are not living in the last days.
Today the following four questions will be answered concerning The Last Days:
- When did the Last Days begin?
- When does the Last Days End?
- Why is there a Rapture?
- When does the Rapture happen?
When did the Last Days begin?
The last days begin after Jesus left Earth for Heaven.
Acts 1:9-11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
When does the Last Days End?
The end of the “Last Days” is the Rapture of the Church.
Matthew 24:38-39 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
1Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Why is there a Rapture?
There are two reasons for the Rapture.
1. The seventieth week of Daniel 9 (The Tribulation) is not for the Church, but for Israel.
Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
2. God Promises the Church that it will not face the wrath to come.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
1Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
When does the Rapture happen?
No one knows when the Rapture will happen. There are no prophecy that need to happen first and there are no signs to look for.
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Matthew 24:38-39 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Conclusion: We are living in the Last Days and we do not know when these days will end. The Bible instructs how to live in the Last Days
Matthew 24:43-46 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
